Kristopher Phillips aka Big Phil
Co-Owner / General Manager / CEO / CVO / CFO
With 15 years in the HVAC industry, Kristopher brings both expertise and vision to Absolute Comfort. He holds two bachelor’s degrees — one in Sociology with an emphasis on criminology and a minor in nutrition from the University of Utah, and another in Construction Management from Weber State University. He is also a graduate of the Ogden Tech HVAC program and holds certifications including RMGA, EPA, and Heat Exchanger Experts. A lifelong learner, Kristopher considers himself a “student of life” who is always seeking new knowledge.
What he enjoys most about his work has two sides: first, the opportunity to help customers in their time of need, and second, the chance to support employees’ growth and create a workplace where they can thrive. One of his proudest career highlights began six years ago, when he and Tony started Absolute Comfort together — a venture built on integrity and community.
Kristopher was born in Provo, Utah, but grew up on Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany while his mother served in the U.S. Air Force. His time overseas gave him a love for travel and adventure. Today, he enjoys music, film, traveling with his wife Skyler, and taking motorcycle rides with her. He has also completed more than 25 endurance events, including ultra-marathons, marathons, and the Lotoja bicycle race. Around the office, his coworkers sum him up in two words: “All business.”
One of Kristopher’s most memorable moments was during Absolute Comfort’s very first year in business. The company hosted a free furnace giveaway, where the owner of the oldest furnace would win. Jana Peterson had the winning entry — and instead of just donating the furnace, Kristopher and Tony donated the full installation as well. It was an experience that embodied the company’s commitment to service and giving back.
Kristopher’s guiding principles come from Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements:

Tony Christensen
Owner/Operator
With 28 years in the HVAC industry, Tony brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to Absolute Comfort. He holds certifications including EPA, RMGA, and Heat Exchanger Experts, and was factory-trained by Daikin. Earlier in his career, Tony was recognized as Utah’s “Service Champion” while serving as a factory representative — a title that speaks to his skill and commitment. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is helping customers in their time of need and solving complex problems with practical solutions.
A proud North Ogden local, Tony is equally dedicated to his family and community. Outside of work, he enjoys riding motorcycles, woodworking, and spending time with his two daughters and family. Known for being spontaneous (often from a lack of planning, he admits with a grin), his coworkers describe him as passionate and easy to get along with.
One of Tony’s most memorable customer experiences came when an elderly client suffered a seizure in front of him. Acting quickly, he caught her mid-fall, called 911, and assisted until paramedics arrived. While she was taken to the hospital, Tony stayed behind and repaired her furnace so she would return to a warm home. It’s a story that perfectly reflects his compassion and dedication.
Tony lives by the words of Chief Tecumseh:

Brycen Hedgepeth
HVAC Service Technician (aka “Baby B”)
Brycen has been in the HVAC industry for 5 years and brings a strong technical mindset to every job. He’s earned multiple certifications, including Otech, RMGA, EPA, Heat Exchanger Experts, and Total Tech Certified, making him a well-rounded technician who can tackle any challenge. What he enjoys most about his work is helping people and solving problems, and he’s proud to have played a part in growing Absolute Comfort while providing top-notch service to customers.
A local Ogden Utahn, Brycen loves spending time outdoors, working on cars, and golfing when he’s not on the clock. He’s known among coworkers as a hard worker who gets along with just about everyone — and he has a knack for remembering weird and random facts. One of his favorite customer memories was a service call where he got to meet a dog named Checkers.
His personal motto comes from Roman Atwood: “Do what you have to do so you can do what you wanna do.”
Kaysen Souza aka “Kase”
HVAC Installer Apprentice
Kaysen is just beginning his career in the HVAC industry with 4 months of hands-on experience, but he’s already proving himself as an eager learner with a bright future. While he doesn’t hold certifications yet, he’s determined to earn them all as he grows in the trade. What Kaysen enjoys most about his work is the variety — every day brings something new, which keeps things interesting. He’s also known for being quick and precise with small hand work, a skill that comes in handy on the job.
Originally from Plain City, Kaysen has strong Utah roots. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, boxing, and spending time with his friends and family. His coworkers would describe him as uplifting, positive, and always eager to learn. One of his favorite job memories so far was when a customer cooked a meal for the crew — a gesture he’ll never forget.
A fun fact about Kaysen: he once hit Masters rank in Bravestars, showing his competitive side. His personal motto is simple but powerful: “Don’t take anything negative from no one — you deserve the best.”
Zachery James Downs aka “Zach”
HVAC Installer
Zach has been in the HVAC industry for a year and brings a strong mechanical background to every project. He especially enjoys the transformation that comes with replacing old HVAC systems with new, efficient equipment — seeing the difference firsthand is what makes the work so rewarding. With his skills and drive to learn, Zach is building a solid foundation for a long career in the trade.
Born and raised in West Valley, Zach is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking and experiencing the beauty of nature. He also comes from a big family — with four brothers and four sisters, teamwork has always been part of his life.
Zach lives by the motto: “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing.”
Carrie Christensen
Office Manager
Carrie has been part of the HVAC industry for 3 years and plays a key role in keeping Absolute Comfort running smoothly. With excellent customer service skills, she takes pride in helping customers in their time of need and making sure every interaction is positive and professional.
Born and raised in Ogden, Carrie is deeply connected to her community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her puppies, tending her garden, and raising fancy chickens. She also serves on the Board at Rotary Club of Ogden, where she focuses on community service. Known by her coworkers as friendly and approachable, Carrie brings warmth and reliability to the team every day.
One of her favorite experiences came during a Rotary Club lunch event, where she unexpectedly met several customers who recognized the Absolute Comfort logo on her shirt. It gave her the rare chance to connect names and faces with the people she usually serves over the phone.
Carrie’s favorite motto comes from Henry Ford: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re right.”
